The diary does not focus on time and place but rather on an emotional journey. Far from being the typical images of the holidays the photographs try to capture the sensation of pleasure and nostalgia that overwhelm me during the summer.
These sensations and experiences end up engraved on the skin the same way the sunlight records the photographic image on the photosensitive support. Our own skin is a notebook in which all the journeys are written. With our skin we feel the environment: the heat and the cold; the water, the wind, the touch of the others. The skin is our tender and sensitive shield with which we experience the world and we protect ourselves from it.
